The 777 Trilogy are all uniquely great, boundary pushing extreme metal, and this album in particular takes the corpse of black metal and twists it into something darker, weirder and hypnotically mesmerizing that simply filing it under black metal does a disservice to the creative vision on display. I can't pick a favorite track, the whole album deserves to be heard as a singular piece of music.
